Uffie + Pharrell - ADD SUV
Uffie featuring Pharrell - ADD SUV (Full Track) by DISCODUST
This track is pure filth. Uffie FINALLY releases her debut album Sex Dreams and Denim Jeans in June, I can't freakin' wait!
SOILED! xxxx
Uffie @ The Coronet
Uffie played a banging set at The Coronet in Elephant and Castle on Saturday. I'd been waiting to see her live since I first heard her yeeeearrrs ago on THAT collabo with Justice, The Party. Her voice was thick as ever, and she was in a rather dashing costume which looked like a sparkly swimsuit. Afterwards Cassius threw out a boat load of electro phatties and it was all rather pleasing.
Here's the evidence, feast on this!
See that blurred one? Yeah? That's Uffie. Honest!
GRIT! xxxx

Darwin Deez Dances His Curls Off
This video is brilliant. Who doesn't love Deez's dancing style? I want him to be my personal trainer. I also want him to style my hair.

Burger Love with Dearjoseph
Here's a new picture of Dearjoseph who came in for a chat on Filthy Disco on Saturday, you can hear it in full tonight from 7pm on Roundhouse Radio. Dapper!
They play Cafe 1001 on Brick Lane on 20th April. I'll be there with bells on.
Also, here's our burger feast I had with the chaps afterwards. It was perfect.

Dearjoseph
Last week I had a wonderful chin wag with a really mysterious new band called Dearjoseph. They make really haunting and sophisticated Indie music, and are much more than just another Indie band. They make really cool films too and are a really nice bunch.

The interview will be broadcast on the Filthy Disco this week, so tune in from 7pm to get to know them - Filthy Disco style!
There will also be the usual helping of dirt, including Late of the Pier, Crookers, Shy Child and Magic Kids.

Essential Song #2
This Essential Song has got me feeling all fuzzy. It makes me want to fall around a club haphazardly and enter a dub-step infused trance in the corner.
Basically I really love it. It's from an incredible DJ called Rusko and the song is Woo Boost.
Check it here: http://www.myspace.com/ruskonfire
He's at Fabric in May. If you go - be prepared for the skankiest (in a good way) party ever, there might be people climbing into the DJ booth and all manner of crazy happenings.
DIRT! xx

Summer Camp @ the Lexington
Mystery is seductive. Summer Camp know this, and so did the masses of revellers at The Lexington last balmy night. For months they’ve had us gagging to see who they are, where they come from and what they look like. All we’ve had are their sublime offerings of surfer jingly pop with those brilliant film extracts at the beginning.
The secrecy apparently started as an accident, they thought they’d keep it up until we all got bored. We didn’t get bored but at some point they’d have to start doing official gigs – and last night was their first.
So now that all is revealed, here are the facts...
They are: Jeremy Warmsley and Elizabeth Sankey from London
She has: Brown hair, a fringe, really cool taste in dresses (a black number with little gold balls all over it) a cracking, clear and powerful soothing voice with a hint of Debbie Harry to it.
He: Could have been any number of about four men on the stage – but if it’s the one I’m thinking of he had square glasses and good hair.
They are not: Swedish 7 year olds or from Chicago
They have: A rather catchy song out called Ghost Train, and a Myspace here: http://www.myspace.com/morganwaves
Babeshadow played on support too - what an utter bonus! Lead singer Tom (the one with the hair) pulled another tremendous jacket out the bag for this show. This time it was silver, and quite possibly plastic. I've fallen in love with their song Sea Serpents. I think these chaps are set to do big things, with a voice as special as this and quirky little hooks as good as these the possibilities are endless.
You can catch them on tour with Florence + The Machine soon
As always, Keep it FILTHY xx

Babeshadow and Filthy Disco
These chaps make some smashingly glamorous Indie and it's got a real kick. Catches you off guard and the dudes hair sure is fit.

I'm going to see them tonight at The Lexington - somewhere I'm ashamed to have not set foot in yet. So keep your ear to this blog for the verdict soon.
On a different note I'm proud to present you with my brand new spanking radio show called Filthy Disco, it all happens on Roundhouse Radio every Wednesday at 7pm. The beats are dark and the electro pop glitters, so come down unless you're too clean.

Essential Song #1
Every so often, certain songs have the ability to stop me in my tracks, make me look at the sky and think differently. This can be for any number of reasons - I could be feeling particularly hormonal that day, the lyrics might resonate with something I'm going through, or it's just a down right filthy song that catches me off guard and sweeps me away to an undiscovered land.
So from now on - when I have one of these musical induced experiences of euphoria I'm going to log it on this very blog.
You might not feel the same, but then again you might.
So todays song comes from a band I've been banging on about a lot recently, it's MGMT and the song is Weekend Wars from their album Oracular Spectacular.
Give it a spin, it might change your life.
Try to break my heart I'll drive to Arizona.
It might take 100 years to grow an arm
I'll sit and listen to the sound of sand and cold
Twisted diamond heart, I'm the weekend warrior
My predictions are the only things I have
I can amplify the sound and light and love
